About Cailyn
Background
Standing at 5'10", I've dedicated 4 years to perfecting my craft as a middle blocker. My journey began one summer when a friend invited me to a volleyball camp. From there I developed my passion for taking control of the net and reading the intention of opposing hitters.
Philosophy
I believe volleyball is the ultimate team sport requiring both physical and mental ability. Volleyball encompases the trust, teamwork, intellegence and athleticism. As a student athlete, it's important that the skills I use on the court can be used in the real world.
Goals
I'm seeking a program that values both competitive excellence and academic achievement. My goal is to contribute immediately while developing into a player who can compete at the highest collegiate level. I am not where I want to be, but coachable enough to get there.

I play to emphasize intelligent decision-making over raw power. I may not have the prettiest kills, but my goal is to put the ball where it needs to be. My setter is my partner, and by reading setter tendencies and anticipating plays, I am developing daily defensivly while offensively maintaining versatility that keeps opposing middle blockers guessing.
